Hadacidin

     Hadacidin je nejjednodušší známá, přirozeně se vyskytující, hydroxamová kyselina. Tato sloučenina byla izolována z plísně Penicillium frequentans v roce 1962 a její struktura byla určena jako kyselina N-formyl-hydroxyaminooctová. Triviální název hadacidin byl odvozen z toho, že látka brzdí růst lidského adenokarcinomu (human adenocarcinoma) (Gitterman et al., 1962). Inhibuje biosyntézu purinů (Shigeura a Gordon, 1962) a funguje také jako inhibitor růstu u rostlin (Gray et al., 1964).



     Hadacidin se stal vhodným modelem pro syntézu řady podobných látek, (Kinsella et al., 1986), které byly používány jako molekulární nástroje pro studium rostlinných buněčných biomechanismů (Shah et al., 1991; Wagner et al., 1991;Tibrewal et al., 2011).
