Coronamová kyselina a coronatin

     Kyselina coronamová je atypická α-aminokyselina, odvozená od isoleucinu (Ullrich a Bender 1994). Tato aminokyselina je součástí fytotoxinu coronatinu (Ichihara et al. 1977) z bakterie Pseudomonas syringae var. atropurpurea (Mitchell et al. 1994),  který vyvolává u vyšších rostlin chlorózu, symptom způsobený poruchou tvorby listové zeleně (Mengel 1994) a je významným virulentním faktorem této bakterie (Slawiak a Lojkowska 2009).



     Aplikace coronatinu stimuluje u rostlin produkci ethylenu (Ferguson a Mitchell 1985), jehož prekurzorem je kyselina 1-aminocyklopropan-1-karboxylová (Spanu et al. 1991). Tento poslední stupeň biosyntézy ethylenu je katalyzován specifickým enzymem (Hamilton et al. 1991). Fytopatogen P. syringae a jeho produkty sekundárního metabolismu jsou vděčným objektem molekulárních biologů (Hendrickson et al. 2000; Brooks et al. 2004; Sreedharan et al. 2006; Uppalapati et al. 2007; Sreedharan et al. 2009).
